As we prepare for our special day surrounded by the beauty of nature, we wanted to extend a gentle request about wedding attire. Our theme celebrates the earthy splendor of the forest, so we invite you to dress in COLORS that harmonize with nature's palette - think lush greens, warm browns, soft tans, burnt oranges, and sunny yellows. Given that some activities will be outdoors, including our ceremony on the grass and lawn games, we do NOT recommend thin heels to ensure ease of movement. Although the dance floor itself will be safe for stilettos... fancy flats, slinky sandals, whimsical wedges, or beautiful blocks will be your best bet! We can't have anyone breaking an ankle or unable to dance the night away, celebrating in chic style!
In keeping with the spirit of our relaxed yet elegant affair, we encourage you to attire yourselves in comfortable semi-formal wear, with a playful nod to cocktail chic. Given the delightful mix of indoor and outdoor festivities during the summer, please dress to stay cool during the sun's warmth and cozy for the possibility of cooler evening breezes. While I wish we could say for sure, we are wondering with you! Please cross your fingers with us in the hopes we will have beautiful sun so we can enjoy the range of outdoor activities we have planned including an outdoor ceremony and lawn games! However, in the event of heavy rain, everything will be moved indoors to the covered barn. The Adirondacks in August can be quite warm during the day averaging 85 degrees at peak sun, but chilly at night hitting lows of 55 degrees. Although the barn is covered with large overhanging fans, it is not air conditioned. Please dress to stay cool during the sun's warmth and cozy for the possibility of cooler evening breezes. Although dancing, a fire pit, and an alcohol blanket will most likely help keep us warm at night, we would hate for you to be uncomfortable, so please consider bringing a light jacket.
Please RSVP by June 17th so we can have an accurate headcount. We so hope you can join us. Thank you!
Unfortunately, as much as we'd love to invite everyone, we can only accommodate a couple of close family children that were named directly on your invitation. We hope that you will understand this decision and that you will still be able to join us on our special day! While we love to see children laugh and play, our wedding will be an adult only kind of day.
Space is limited, so please check your invitation to see whether you can bring a +1.
If you know the bride, you know she is overpacked with a Marry Poppins bag, well trained by Mama Manzo. Here is her advice... Change of shoe, light jacket for the evening, mini umbrella, sun screen, bug spray, hair tie/clip to stay cool, and a handkerchief/travel tissues for the inevitable tears of joy.
If you are coming from the New York City area, expect the drive to be an average of four hours. We recommend staying for at least two nights and arriving on Friday so you can feel energized to enjoy the festivities on Saturday!
Yes, absolutely! Although there is no valet, there is a parking lot hidden behind the venue. The walk from the lot, to the ceremony, and to the reception is not long at all, but if accessibility is an issue, there is a loop around the property to drop your loved one off easily. Remember to wear shoes that are both stylish AND allow you to move comfortably through grass.
TBD...We are working on researching options, please check back closer to the wedding date for more information.
Yes, please! We would love to see your perspective and fun candids of the night so we will have a QR code for us to all share memories of the event. However, we urge you to enjoy the party and and be mindful of your use of technology so you can be present with us in the moment!
Please notify us via email (VManzoLaRocco@gmail.com) or phone (646-696-8076) so we can accommodate you.
Uh...duh!!!
