Tiondra and Damian’s story goes way back—before first dates and grown-up plans. They were just two kids growing up in Broadview, Illinois, sharing the same hallways at Komarek Elementary School. Years passed, and life took them in different directions. They grew into who they were meant to be—separately—without realizing how important that time apart would be. Almost eight years later, in 2023, everything changed in the most unexpected way—a few Facebook story likes, followed by one mom texting the other: “Is Damian single?” And just like that, something clicked into place. Their first date on January 21, 2023 started with ping pong and mini tacos, but neither of them was ready for it to end. So they kept it going—ending up at Griddle 24 at 1 a.m., eating pancakes, talking and laughing like no time had passed. From that night on, everything just felt easy. One day together turned into many—long talks, movie nights, and any excuse to spend more time side by side. Even when distance tried to get in the way, Tiondra and Damian kept choosing each other. And on September 27, 2025, during their first trip to Disney, Damian got down on one knee—creating a moment that felt just as right as everything that led up to it, with family there to celebrate. Looking back, it’s hard not to believe that something bigger was always at work—guiding them through every almost and every missed moment, just to bring them together when the time was finally right. Now, at 24-years-old, surrounded by the same love and community that’s been part of their story all along, Tiondra and Damian are beginning their next chapter.
