For anyone wishing to take the time to drive out to to this amazing location- I would advise you make this a day trip and allow plenty of time for exploring!

If you find yourself with a spare day in Cape Town- take the trip over by boat to Robben Island with a guided tour on the location of Nelson Mandela and many others incarceration.
Great stop to see the penguins on the way to Cape point, or if you are going to Simons Town.
We love Kalk Bay! On the way to Simons Town and Cape point is this lovely little bay town full of antique side shops and boutiques. Its a lovely place to stop for lunch or a quick drink!

Home to the South African Navy, this lovely little colonial harbour town to explore and stop for a bite to eat!
The closest to the wedding venue is this lovely university town surrounded by vineyards. The tree lined streets are full with cafes, boutiques and art galleries. Cape Dutch architecture gives a sense of South Africa's Dutch colonial history, as do the Village Museum's period houses and gardens. A must to explore!
One of our favourite estates for many reasons! The wine is beautiful, the view is superb (the highest vineyard tasting room in the area). Hidden valley estate is also just down the road which has a wonderful terrace with fantastic food.
There are many wonderful tasting rooms in the area, but if you are looking for a special Lunch/dinner location or would love to just visit the opulent tasting room then Graff Esate is a must!
If you plan on staying in the wine area prior or post wedding- this Tourist Wine tram is a good way to hop on hop of some of the local wine trail with out having to drive!
Possibly one of our most favourite places ever! The colonial hub of the wine region. Beautiful streets and buildings, gorgeous restaurants! a must see!
If you find yourself spending more time in Cape Town but would love to experience an afternoon of wine tasting then head to Constantia. The area has some stunning estates and restaurants. All very accessible from the city.
