We'd recommend either an Airbnb near the park, a tent lodge at Colter Bay, one of the campgrounds nearby, or a room in either Jackson Lake Lodge or Jenny Lake Lodge. The lodges (and tent lodges) may be full. Campgrounds in the park are typically first-come, first-serve, so we'd recommend being in a line no later than 7:30 am. (Note that you can find records of when the last tent site was given out each morning, but if the record says 9:30 am, the person who got that site was probably in line as early as 7:30 am!) There are also campgrounds up in Yellowstone (such as the Grant Village campsite) which is about an hour away. One warning about the Grant Village campsite: they tend to regularly have bears come through, so a hard-camper is recommended. Josh has slept in a tent here a few times (with no problems). There are other campgrounds further north in Yellowstone as well, but the drive time to Grand Teton will be closer to 2 hours.
Yes! We will be in and around the Grand Teton area from the evening of August 1st to the morning of August 6th. We'll be hiking, boating, horseback riding, and site-seeing throughout the week, so if you'd like to join us, please reach out!
Since the ceremony will be small (10-15 people), and all events located outdoors, our events will not have any sort of mask mandate, but please wear a mask if you would feel more comfortable. Also, keep in mind that the park's policies on masks may require you to wear one indoors (gift shops, visitor centers, etc.).
Please do not hesitate to reach out to either or both of us.
