We got married!

A day to remember to say the least. We drove out to Helen, Georgia to begin what I thought was an Anniversary getaway. Jason had rented a cabin in the woods and planned the entire trip. Prior to our arrival to the cabin Jason asked if i wanted to walk on a trail to “stretch our legs”, we had been in the car for 6 hours so my answer of course was yes. He choose a trail that had a waterfall at the end (which we didn’t even see), as we walked towards this waterfall we came upon a covered bridge. He knows I love covered bridges so of course I immediately started taking pictures, while he went to wet his feet. Then, I went to take pictures of him under the bridge, which had a river running through it. He asked me to stop taking pictures, sit on a giant rock and take the moment in. I closed my eyes and took a breath. This place was beautiful. He than said to me, “I found a ring pop with your favorite flavor”. I rolled my eyes and asked him if he seriously wanted candy at that moment. He insisted so I opened the bag of ring pops and there was a ring box inside the bag! I looked up and he was down on one knee! He asked me to marry him! I did not answer right away because I was shocked! How did he place the ring box inside the bag? The bag was sealed? Did he really just surprise me? What’s happening? These are just some of the questions going through my mind. Jason was still on his knee and now a couple had come down the bridge to the river. He sweetly says, “is there something in the bag?, to this I nod, “are you going to grab it”, to this I shake my head as to say no. He then grabs the ring box opens it and says, “are you going to answer?” I finally said yes! Like 3 times! All the build up and excitement finally came out. I cried happy tears, kissed my fiancé and fell in love all over again.
