Sara and Dalton met sophomore year of high school through a mutual friend, but didn't start dating until sophomore year of college. Sara had always thought Dalton was cute and he definitely knew that! He was the cool football player from Hoover that drove a loud truck and she was the awkward homeschooler that drove her dad's corvette to get his attention. Then college came and they went off to their separate schools. Sophomore year, Dalton transferred to Auburn University and his first call, when he moved to town, was to ask Sara to drive him to the grocery store because he didn't have his truck. He FINALLY asked her out in a Waffle House in October, but she said no. Then he asked her one last time in the parking lot, and she said yes! They spent the next 4 years doing all kinds of adventurous things like camping, riding dirt-bikes, four-wheeling, and going to the shooting range. After graduating during COVID, the Lord placed them in a small group in Birmingham that brought them closer to Christ and solidified their relationship. Dalton purchased a ring and had planned a special way to surprise her. He took her on a four-wheeler ride to the top of a mountain where he proposed, and then surprised her with all of their friends and family at the farm when they came back down. Now, after 5 years of dating, they are only a few months away from marriage! Thank you to everyone who has loved and supported us over the years. We wouldn't be who we are today without you!
