We met through a mutual friend. Dalton first messaged me on social media. After texting for a bit, we decided to meet face to face. He went to East Limestone, and I went to Ardmore. I drove out to East after school one day and met him at Dip’N’Dog. We decided to go back to his house and hang out for a little bit. We stayed texting and hung out after that. Then, Dalton went off to college for a couple of years. We stayed in touch here and there, but we were still the best of friends. In October of 2018, he reached back out to me and the fire started back up. In January of 2020, he proposed!
Dalton texted me at work on January 7th and told me that our friend wanted to use us as her photography “guinea pigs” because she had found a new place and wanted to see how those pictures would turn out. I came home from work, and we both got ready to go meet her. We ended up at Bridgestreet where the carousel was. The photographer had me turn around and was telling Dalton how to position. Little did I know that when I would turn around, my best friend of 6 years would be on one knee with a ring in his hand. That was the best night of both of our lives!
