Our Story Noelle and Dalton like to think there has been an invisible string quietly pulling them toward each other their whole lives. Maybe it was attending the same concerts without knowing it, Noelle spending every summer growing up in Clear Lake, or the endless number of athletic events they somehow both showed up to. But it wasn’t until that fateful night when they both swiped right that finally made things official. And if you know Dalton, you’ll agree that his first message—“I like your crocs”—was the perfect way to kick things off. Who knew that compliment would lead to all this? They’ve been together since the end of summer, 2020, and since then, they’ve tackled some pretty wild stuff—like moving across the country twice (because apparently once wasn’t enough) and chasing their dreams without missing a beat. But just as much as they love the big adventures, they’re pros at the small stuff too—mainly crushing hundreds of Yahtzee games on Friday nights in their living room. Dalton is Noelle’s partner-in-crime, and she’s his. Opposites really do attract: Dalton’s the guy who lights up every room, outgoing and social, and basically everyone’s favorite person. Noelle’s more of the calm, practical, “let’s actually think this through” type—with a heart so big, it makes everyone around her feel a little more loved. Together, they balance each other out perfectly, filling in the gaps and making a pretty unbeatable team. The Proposal Dalton popped the question on Farmers Beach in Clear Lake, Iowa—a quiet, private spot that felt just right for the two of them. You could tell Dalton was nervous (which only made it sweeter). There was no big speech or grand production—just a simple, perfect moment that fit their relationship perfectly. He looked at her and asked, “Noelle Dawn Katschke, will you marry me?” And for her, the answer was the easiest YES! The surprises didn’t stop there. After the proposal, Dalton had secretly arranged an engagement party with some of the people who mean the most to Noelle—her friends and family. He’d called everyone individually to pull off this beautiful, heartfelt surprise. Noelle wishes everyone could have been there to witness it, because she would’ve married him right then and there if she could. The night ended with countless photos, amazing food, and heartfelt toasts to the future “Mennengas.” It was absolutely perfect—a glimpse of the love and joy to come on their wedding day and beyond. Their story’s still being written, and they can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter surrounded by friends, family, and a whole lot of love (and maybe some more compliments if she is lucky).
