Fripp Island Helpful Hints
Fripp Island is a small private island. There are some unique features of Fripp we think will be helpful for our guests to know.
Gate Pass
Fripp Island is private access 24 hours per day and requires a gate pass to get on the island. If you rent through the resort, they will provide you with gate passes. If you rent through other avenues make sure they give you information about gate passes.
Amenity Cards
Amenity cards are required for every person over the age of 13 to access most everything on the island. Including all restaurants, pools, bars, activities (golf, arcade, nature center, tennis & pickle ball) & most shops on the island. An amenity card will not be required to access the reception. If you rent through the resort they will provide you with amenity cards. If you rent through other avenues, make sure they provide information about amenity cards.
Grocery Options
The Springtide Market is at the very front of the island, and they have some groceries, but the options are limited. We would recommend stopping by Walmart, or any grocery store on Lady's Island if you would like to get groceries before getting to Fripp.
Restaurant Options
There are a few dining options on Fripp Island (all requiring amenity cards) For Breakfast: Island Bites in the Beach Club Circle or Ocean Point Grille at Ocean Point Golf Course For Lunch: Island Bites, The Marina Deli, The Cabana Club Grill, or Ocean Point Grille For Dinner: The Bonito Boathouse is open Tuesday-Saturday and The Beach Club is open Saturday-Monday Johsnon Creek Tavern and Another Slice are two restaurants ~5 miles from the front of the Island.
Golf Cart Rental
A golf cart is the easiest way to get around Fripp Island, and we highly recommend renting one. Most properties on the Fripp Island Resort website come with a golf cart included. You can rent through the Fripp Island Resort if your property doesn't come with one included.
