Question

Which airport do I fly into?

Answer

Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC) is the closest to the venue and has the most available options for flights (arrivals and departures).

Question

Is there public transit available if I do not have a car?

Answer

If you are staying in downtown Ogden at one of the selected hotels or Airbnb/Vrbo than your options for public transit are very good! There is the UTA train that can take you from the Salt Lake City airport to the train station in Ogden. We have listed that information under Travel/Places to Stay. There are bus routes from the train station as well that you can take into downtown Ogden. There is also the UTA Ski Bus that can take you to and from Snowbasin and Powder Mountain resorts during the day if you plan on snowboarding/skiing. Uber/Lyft is available throughout both Salt Lake and Ogden. They just do NOT pick up at the ski resorts (only drop off)

Question

What is the lodging situation?

Answer

The "Places to Stay" banner at the top of our website provides detailed links to multiple options! Or visit: https://www.snowbasin.com/lodging for more ideas. We recommend staying in Ogden or Ogden Valley for proximity to the venue (15-30 minutes away). There are multiple options as far as hotels, VRBO, and Airbnbs in the area as well. The closest lodging is Lakeside Resort Properties and Escapes at Edgewater about 10 minutes away. Mountain Luxury Lodging manages these properties including shuttle services to the resort.

Question

Transportation to and from the venue

Answer

We have arranged a FREE shuttle service to and from Snowbasin on the day/night of our wedding. The shuttle will be available to pick up from select locations and drop off at those same checkpoints after the reception. This will help all of our guests travel safely to and from the venue during the winter time. A shuttle questionnaire was emailed to you in October regarding this service. Please fill it out for you and your invited parties! Parking is free at Snowbasin, so driving your vehicle or rental car from your lodging is also an option. Please note that the reception goes until 11:30 pm! If you are uncomfortable driving in the dark on mountain roads or plan to drink, opt for the shuttle service option. Please Note: Uber & Lyft only drop-off at Snowbasin. They can not pick-up!!! If you take one of these ride share services to the wedding make sure you plan a ride back on the shuttle or with someone you trust!

Question

How do I get to the venue?

Answer

Snowbasin is just 45-minutes north of Salt Lake City, one hour from Park City, and an hour and a half from Provo. They are located at 3925 E. Snowbasin Road in Huntsville, Utah. From Salt Lake City : Take I-15 north to U.S. 89 North. Exit on I-84 East through Weber Cayon to enter Mountain Green. Snowbasin Resort is 8 miles from Mountain Green on S.R. 167 (Trappers Loop) and Snowbasin Road. From Park City: Take I-80 East to I-84 West and exit in Mountain Green. From there, head 8 miles up S.R. 167 (Trappers Loop) and Snowbasin Road. From Provo: Take I-15 N to I-84 West

Question

Where do we park at the venue?

Answer

There is free parking available in the lot connected to Earl’s Lodge. This is where the gondola will take you up the mountain to the ceremony at Needles Lodge.

Question

What is the attire or dress code for the ceremony?

Answer

This is a Black-tie affair! Dress your best and bring warm layers! We want our guests to feel like a million bucks on our special day! Most of the event will take place inside but the 30 minute ceremony will be on the mountain. So bring your faux furs, gloves, hats, or shawls and then shed the layers for the cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing later! There will more than likely be snow on the ground, but Snowbasin does their absolute best to have their sidewalks heated, salted, and plowed. If you would feel more comfortable wearing winter footwear to arrive in thats ok too!

Question

Is this a kid friendly ceremony?

Answer

YES!!! Kids are welcome to our special day and we can’t wait to see them on the dance floor!

Question

Can pictures be taken during the ceremony/ posted on social media?

Answer

Yes! Just please be courteous of other guests and our wedding photographer to make sure everyone is still able to see/document the ceremony too!

Question

What food will be served/ are there vegetarian options?

Answer

We will be having a buffet style dinner. There will be a red meat carving station, chicken or fish option, and a vegetarian option. The buffet includes two different kinds of salads, bread rolls, side dishes, and multiple dessert options. If you have a dietary restriction or allergen concern please contact the bride by email or in your RSVP to let us know so we can accommodate all of our guests!

Question

How soon do I need to RSVP?

Answer

ASAP! Please RSVP no later than November 30th, 2023. RSVP right on our website!

Question

Can I invite a plus one?

Answer

We are at capacity with our venue which means we are sadly unable to accommodate additional guests. We look forward to celebrating with you on our day!

Question

Where are you registered/ where should I send a gift?

Answer

We are registered within Zola’s website and there is a link to our registry on our website. You being able to celebrate with us truly means so much and it is not necessary to gift us anymore than your presence at the wedding! If you do feel like contributing to our honeymoon fund or buying a gift through our registry, it will be sent directly to our home!
