Maid of Honor
I owe Lauren big time for letting me drag her to San Diego for a spontaneous weekend trip. If she hadn’t, then we wouldn’t be having a wedding (thanks for being my wing-woman). Lauren has been a role model for me since day one and I know I can always count on her to help me through any challenge. I am so thankful for my parents to have two built in best friends that will support me through any choice I make, even if they don’t agree. Lauren is also one of the best dancers so make sure to check out Lauren’s moves on the dance floor!
Maid of Honor
Ana is probably the funniest and most talented of the three Driggs sisters. Between her music and the way she values life, she continually inspires everyone that she comes in contact with. Ana moved down to Nashville shortly after I did, so I can continue to annoy her all day every day. Joking aside, I know she would give me the shirt off her back if ever needed. I hope you are all lucky enough to hear her sing at the wedding.
Bridesmaid
Taylor is my longest best friend. She and I met when her family moved to Massachusetts in 3rd grade. We instantly became best friends and were completely inseparable to the point that I started calling her parents my second family. Taylor sadly moved back to Texas in 5th grade, and to the surprise of many, we stayed best friends. Over the years, we’ve made the effort to see each other every summer even as we’ve gotten older. I know I can always call Taylor when I want to laugh, cry, or just talk to someone about life. I feel so lucky to have her by my side on such a big day.
Bridesmaid
Most people probably would’ve run for the hills after being asked to play horses at recess but here we are 17 years later, and she’s still one of my best friends. I met Tess in 5th grade when she and her family moved to Massachusetts. Over the few years she lived in MA, we basically lived at each other’s houses in the summer. I think my mom was more surprised to have me at home on the weekends than be at Tess’. I know I can always count on Tess to ask me the hard questions and give the most honest advice when I need it.
Bridesmaid
Nikki B and I met freshman year of college. To be honest, she scared me at first, but that quickly changed after getting to know her. Nikki and I were attached at the hip after college and lived together in Boston for 3 years. I could always count on her to come to L st Tavern with me even when we knew we shouldn’t or be the one to stay home and watch hours of reality tv. She is one of the funniest and smartest people I’ve had the privilege of knowing and am so lucky to have her by my side on my wedding day.
Bridesmaid
Allie and I also met freshman year in our UMASS dorm and lived in the same house together junior and senior year. One of my favorite memories is when she made me the most amazing chocolate cake for my birthday. No one (except family) had ever made me a cake from scratch for my birthday, and it just shows the kind of person Allie is. She’s an incredible baker but more importantly, the type of person that will always make you feel special.
Bridesmaid
Amanda and I met freshman year in college after living on the same floor at UMASS. After meeting her, I remember thinking about how happy and cheerful she was. After being friends for nine years, I can honestly say she has a heart of gold and is the type of person that will give you her last PBR no matter how badly she wants it. In all seriousness, she will light up any room she walks into, and I’m lucky to call her my friend. Make sure to ask her to sing Taylor Swift at the wedding ;)
Bridesmaid
Steph and I have been friends since high school and lived in the same neighborhood growing up. She helped me navigate the good, bad, and uncomfortable moments that most people experience in high school. One of my favorite memories of Steph is going to St. Martin together and watching her sing karaoke with a random hotel guest, I’m not sure I’ve ever had that much fun at a karaoke bar (Carrie Underwood would be impressed). Steph is the friend that is always down to do something fun and different!
Best Man
Connor had the unfortunate childhood of having a brother that was 8 years older than him. I made sure to torment him when we were both young. Being the older brother I obviously believed our parents were softer on him than they had been on me(still factual). As we have grown older we have only grown closer. Somehow he is still the one person that can get under my skin in a debate. He has the sense of humor that comics aspire for and humility that is rare in todays world. He is the most genuinely kind person I've met. He was born to be a leader and the sky is the limit for him. There is no one I'd rather have beside me on the big day.
Groomsman
Colt and I met in the first few weeks of our freshman year at the University of Pikeville. We became friends by complaining about how absurdly boring our professor in our 8 a.m. class was. A friendship forged by the distain for one professor led to a bestfriend and a roommate for the rest of college. He has always been the friend I can go to for honest advice, especially when it's a hard truth I might not want to hear. He has never taken the opportunity to knock me off my high horse when I need it, which is more often than I care to admit. Becoming adults has caused us to live states apart since college, but our daily phone calls about sports, Call of Duty, and life have only gotten better with time.
Groomsman
Harry and I met while serving in 1-501st Attack Reconnaissance Battalion at Fort Bliss, Texas. Harry put up with me becoming a non rent paying third roommate that crashed on his couch every weekend during our time in El Paso. He has always supported my spontaneous ideas. Without his support of one of my most spontaneous ideas I would have never met Liz. Harry took the last second trip to San Diego with me that I met Liz on. He is one of the wittiest people I've ever met and is always the life of the party. I've also never met a man that loves to shop as much as Harry. The man will spend 8 hours in Nordstroms and still not be satisfied.
Groomsman
Gray and I became quick friends in high school. That friendship grew into a brotherhood, as the Quarterback/Wide Receiver relationship often does. Gray was my high school best friend. Gray and I spent a ton of time doing typical high school mischief, playing ping pong at his house, and being teammates in football and basketball. Some of my fondest high school memories are Gray and I going to workout late at night in the summer before the football season began. We would jump the fence, turn the lights on, and I would run routes as he made throw after throw. That field developed a friendship with someone I'm proud to call a brother to this day.
Groomsman
George and I met at our Basic Officer Leadership Course. George has been that friend that can always talk sports, beer, life, basically everything. He has been there to talk anytime and I couldn't be more thankful for a friend like George and more excited for him to be there to support me on the big day.
Groomsman
Zach and I met while at our Basic Officer Leadership Course. We stayed in touch over the years and grew even closer while at Captains Career Course. Zach is the life of the party and one of the funniest humans I have met. If you're looking for a conversation that will leave you laughing then he is your guy.
Groomsman
Dan and I met at Captains Career Course and have gotten closer as we both are now stationed at Fort Campbell. Dan has an a knack for taking my money on the golf course. Especially after he embarrasses me on the front 9, he gladly accepts my double or nothing on the back 9. He is always there no matter if it's to talk work, career, sports, or life. Hopefully I finally find my golf swing again in time to win on the bachelor party trip because if not, he won't let me live it down.
Groomsman
Trey and I met in my sophomore year, his freshman, at UPIKE. Trey has always been one of the bigger sports fans I know. He will gladly go back and forth for hours with me about basketball and football. Be sure to give him a hard time for how bad UK's basketball team has been this year, I think it has taken a few years off his life. Trey has always been able to read a room and is a friend that has been there in the way I need one. Whether it's his comic relief or letting me vent about work, he has been there when I've needed him. I can't wait to have Trey with me on the big day!
