While our story isn't anything out of the ordinary, it is our story and we love how it began. I was in that stage of life where I was doing all things "me". I had put my relationship desires on hold for the time being in hopes that my perfect match would be delivered to me somehow, some way, and at some point. Little did I know, someone was headed my way and was going to change the trajectory of my life forever and in the best way! I opened my phone to a notification on Instagram of all places from Danny requesting to follow me and for those of you who know me, I like to keep my circle small. Needless to say, I had some investigating to do and in doing so, I learned enough to accept his request... and wait. I remember sitting in the car asking myself, "Was this it? Was this my sign from up above to take my chances with this very tall, very handsome Charleston native"? I knew it it was, without a doubt. So, I sent the first message, a bit cheesy if I recall, but it worked! Danny and I met for coffee two days later. Sadly, we met right at the start of the Pandemic, however, our silver lining was that because the world was shut down, we were inclined to create our own fun and spent nearly every day together since! We learned quickly that if you can like and love a person day in and day out while doing nothing but taking walks outside, running to Target for evening outings, playing cards or simply sitting in life's silence just enjoying the presence of the other, you should hang on to it with all that you have! If we have learned anything, it is that life is not perfect, it is messy and can be hard and often goes according to Plan B. From us both, we are humbled to have had the support and the love of so many family members and friends throughout our journey of what will be nearly two and a half years...and that is priceless! With that, we choose to take the best and leave the rest! We cherish what we have and love endlessly. Cheers!
