For those arriving on Thursday or earlier, we invite you to join us for a casual open house event at Kim & Kory's farm. Venue opens at 3:00, but please feel free to arrive and leave as makes sense for you. Dinner and snacks will be provided. Hans the Beer Goat (may) be attending. Please try to carpool as parking is semi-limited.

Bus Transport Between Hotel & Venue

Arrival bus loading from hotel starts at 2:15 and will leave promptly at 2:30. Departure bus loading begins at 10:15 and will leave the property by 10:30. Buses will be available to transport guests from Springhill Suites to ThorpeWood and back. We are taking a headcount to determine how many buses we need to book, so please RSVP for the bus event if you are interested in taking it. Many of the roads up to the venue are narrow back roads, so please keep this in mind when planning your transportation.

Cocktail Attire
The ceremony will be outside on grass and there will be a lot of walking on gravel around the venue, so stilettoes are not recommended. The weather in early October is very unpredictable and can be either summery or cold, so please bring layers. When reviewing weather forecasts, subtract ~10 degrees from the temperature listed in Frederick City to estimate the temperature on the mountain. The ceremony will be held at the Willow Pond, followed by a cocktail hour and reception at the Lodge. See the Maps and Gallery tab for property maps.

If you are driving, please use the Pine Cathedral address in your GPS app of choice (above) and there will be staff to guide you to parking. Please note that you will then need to drive from the Willow Pond / Rustic Barn area to the Lodge for the reception
