Even though we were born on two different coasts, and began our lives 2200 miles apart, Love finds a way. We met at church in the 8th grade, it went from smiles, to laughs, to now a love that lasts. We became friends and learned how easy it was to trust each other. We saw that no one else could make us laugh as hard, pick us up when we are down, and fill each others needs the same way as each other. Throughout the years we have made countless memories, from sunrises and sunsets, holidays and baking treats, movie dates (some movies good and some movies bad,) beach and mountain trips, and more recently trying to see all 41 NC state parks. Being "Highschool sweethearts," we were told it wouldn't last, and we wish they could see us now proving them wrong. Our happy ending won't just end here as we are becoming a family. We will continue to love each other more every day, and we are excited to see what God has in store for us. :)
We took a trip to the Great Smoky Mountains because we both love hiking and exploring new places. At the start of the day, we hiked 4 miles one way to a very beautiful waterfall, and then hiked back. After hiking all that way, we decided to get lunch in Gatlinburg. We had started our day fairly early which meant after lunch we still had more time to explore. We took our trip in the peak of fall, so the park was packed with people by the time we were ready to hike again. After driving to multiple spots with no parking left, we decided to head to Clingman's Dome. It took a while to get there, but it was worth it. We hiked up a steep half mile to the observation deck which had spectacular views. Once we got back down, the sun was setting but we still wanted to do one more hike. We decided to race the sun to a bald on the mountain that was 2 miles away. We made it just in time for him to get down on one knee as the sun was setting!
