The tale of Connor and Minjie begins in the winter of 2020 when they matched on Bumble. Connor had returned to Delaware from Pittsburg due to the pandemic and Minjie was living in Wilmington with her then-roommate Kait (who is now one of her bridesmaids!). Their first date was lunch at Iron Hill in December. Since they both didn't want to end the date, they mustered up the cold and went Constitution Yards where the drinks and conversation were flowing. When Minjie came back from the date she said to Kait "that was the best first date I've been on in a while". Little did she know, this was her last first date. A year later, they moved in together in an apartment in Wilmington. Connor and Minjie bonded on their sense of humor, niche interests, love of cats, and their effortless connection. Together they have been to Shenandoah, Miami, Acadia, and Charleston. Connor became an step-dad to Mr. Gray, Minjie's cat, and they adopted Orville shortly after moving in. This wedding is more than a celebration—it marks a beginning they never anticipated, and one they are deeply grateful for.
