Dallas and I had known each other for several years and had many mutual friends. In summer of 2021, we found ourselves both single. He tried to pursue me but I was dating around and wanted us to just be friends as to not complicate things. One June night a group of my friends were going to eat Mexican and I was actually bring a date, but I had told Dallas that him and his daughter, Adelaide, could join us (I mean we were only friends, right?). When Dallas and Adelaide arrived, they sat directly across from my date and I. I proceeded to spend the majority of the night talking with Dallas and goofing off. I quickly realized after dinner that there was no connection with the other guy. The following day Dallas hung out with my friends and I again at Beer Hog, and it was after that night that I knew that he was the person I wanted to be with. I think the words said were "are we doing this thing or not?" We became inseparable and made things official on June 12, 2021.
