Dallas had this planned all along months in advance. I knew he was the one from the first day I met him. The way his eyes sparkled, his smitten smile and his funny personality drew me in. He accepts me and all my flaws and still loves me unconditionally. The way we mesh and the way he fits like a missing puzzle piece with my life is something I’ll always cherish. Montana has been our special place and we always talked about having a wedding and having the people we love the most there in the most beautiful state! 5 years later, his step dad, Rob, had booked us a flight to Montana Sept 2023 and Dallas thought it would be a perfect opportunity to pop the question! The plan was once we landed we were going to go on a hike at Morrell Falls. When we landed it was about 12:30pm and the drive to the trail took about an hour and half. I remember thinking “should we do this hike?” and so was everyone else. But Amy, Dallas’s mom who had known the whole time that Dallas was planning on proposing, was insistent that we go. So we went. We all hiked 3 miles there to this beautiful waterfall and as I was taking videos/pictures, Amy asked, “how about I take a picture of you two?” Dallas then said, “How about a really long picture instead” and pulled me aside, in front of the waterfall and got down on one knee! I was ecstatic! I knew this day was coming but I wasn’t expecting it in Montana! Of course I said YES X100! The ring is absolutely beautiful. He did such a great job. On the way back to the car, we debriefed about it and talked about all the plans that were to come. Now here we are 2 years later planning a special wedding in a special place.
