Once upon a time of a toasty July day, Dallas and Gracie's paths crossed on a dating app- just a few weeks before the end of summer. Little did they know that a simple swipe would kick off a love story that would keep them warm for years to come. A few weeks later, Gracie took the plunge and asked Dallas to accompany her to the Ke$ha and Macklemore concert for their first date. It was the most unimaginable first date. Gracie and Dallas braved standing in the rain for an hour and a half before the concert even started. Even with wet shoes and socks, we had the time of our lives dancing and singing the night away. After a trip to Six Flags and a few dates in our cars in the Cartersville, Khol's parking lot, Gracie finally asked Dallas to be her girlfriend. They have been inseparable ever since. Over the next 5 years, they tackled everything from long distance, graduating college, a global pandemic, going back to college to pursue another career, student teaching, and navigating buying their first home together. It wasn't always easy, but they managed to laugh through the chaos and come out stronger on the other side. Their days became filled with all the little things they enjoyed most. On May 10, 2024, while on a muddy hike in Providence Canyon State Park, Gracie decided it was the perfect time for the grand gesture (even though she gaslight Dallas into believing that it wasn't happening anytime soon). With the muddy, red canyons as the background, Gracie got down on one knee and popped the question. Spoiler alert: Dallas said YES! They have weathered the highs and lows, the countless long drives, hours worth of FaceTime and long nights studying and working. Now they are gearing up for their happily ever after. Mark your calendars for April 2026- because that is when Gracie and Dallas will say "I do" and begin the next chapter of their love story, side by side. #FinallyAFrederick
