I met June during my time at Mervyn's over 15 years ago. She was then as she is now a fearless shinning star. To this day, I believe I liked her more than she liked me at least at first. I thought she was the coolest chic I've ever met, bold yet cool calm and collected; not to mention incredible taste in fashion. Since then our friendship has grown and I'm proud to call her my best friend. Together we've shared ups and downs over dessert for many years now. She has been there for me year after year and I have a sneaking suspicion she'll be there for many more. For that reason and many more she is my honorary sister. Thank you June for sharing this moment with us.

What could I say…. He’s my big bro! I could remember growing up following my big bro around wherever he went. Whether it was just hanging out in his bedroom listening to classic rock songs, going to the arcade to blow our allowances or hanging out with him and friends in the old neighborhood riding bikes or go sledding during winter. Awww, the good life!! Those are great childhood memories with my brother. I’m so glad we didn’t have cell phones back then, lol. He is now all grown up with his son, my nephew, little Davy. I love him and am honored to have him as my best man!

The minute I met this woman I was smitten. As you will too. She is charismatic, fun, super positive and genuine to her bones. It was my very first bachata class at the studio and I was nervous because I didn't know anybody. So I tapped her on her shoulder and said "hi my name is Dalila, what is yours?". 8 years later, many many dances, parties and laughter later we are still friends. She is a tremendous force of nature and the biggest supporter of women I've ever known. She is our warrior princess.

Since the first time I met Jimmy, its been a party ever since! I’ve known Jimmy for almost 7 years now. We have mutual friends in the dance scene that introduced us. We’ve had some crazy fun times together from traveling to different dance festivals around the country, international cruises, wine parties, beach parties to tons of dance socials. He’s a good friend and also one of my VIP Clients! I’m glad to have him as one of my groomsman! Get ready for another party Jimmy Boy!!

Ha! The very first time I saw Anna was through a glass door as many boys/men gathered around to watch this girl dance. I thought maybe they were giving something away.... nope they were watching Anna dance bachata LOL. Years later Dean, Anna and myself auditioned for the LS Semi Pro Team and got to train together for a couple of seasons. Many many parties later, along with some highs and lows, some break ups and some reconciliations we remain good friends. I love this girl for her candid honesty, her unconventional humor (very few things make her blush), but above all for her big heart.

Jaime is a friend from the dance scene as well. I met Jaime in March of 2012 when we made the auditions to the same dance team. Since then we have gotten to know each other through rehearsals, traveling to dance congresses, beach parties and lots of friends parties and get togethers. I also think of Jaime as Jaime the explorer, lol. He is great to travel with, as he likes to explore to the fullest by planning lots of activities. We had a blast in Acapulco! One of the highlights was when he booked a yacht for a group of us to explore and party. That was awesome! Thanks Jaime for being part of Dalila and I’s wedding party! I look forward to hanging out with you at future parties and trips or getting together for a beer or two!

Yadira came into my life 36 years ago and she has known me for all of her life. Jeje! I like saying that. She brought a different kind of dynamic into my life as a little sister. She was then as she is now, fun, loving, super smart, kind, thoughtful and fearless. Seven years ago, she introduced us to Joe the love of her life and we of course got attached immediately; perhaps his amazing cooking abilities, his super chill temperament, the fact he is warm, creative and as my sister will tell you very handsome :). They now have been married for 5 years and we love them both dearly.

Diana came into my life when I was 2 years old, my very first sister. She is literally in every memory I have of my childhood and young adult life. They say you are your experiences; if this is true then half of who we are is the same person. Diana is strong, brilliant, a no-nonsense person, a warrior, yet warm, nurturing and caring. There is nothing she cannot accomplish when she sets her mind to it and at times even if she doesn't set her mind to it. She introduced us to David now her husband of 12 years and he immediately became an honorary Mexican in our family. He fit perfectly, maybe because he is focused, brilliant yet hilarious and can handle himself in any situation no matter how peculiar. He also has a story for many peculiar situations, more to come on that ...
