Dalia and Michael first met at the University of Hartford Chabad Friday night dinner table in fall 2019. Dalia caught Michael's eye at shabbat dinner and while he was too nervous to say anything to her in person, he did message her on WhatsApp right after Shabbat asking what year she was and if she had considered a study abroad program. For weeks, Dalia and Michael would spend hours texting on WhatsApp in between classes. Finally, Michael asked Dalia to be his date for an AEPI event. Fast forward to March of 2020, Dalia and Michael started a long distance relationship. From virtual date nights, to endless texting and phone calls, the two continued to fall more in love with each other. From between January of 2021 to July of 2022 Daila and Michael would spend time traveling to each other, meeting each other's families, and becoming more connected. Finally, in July 2022 they closed the distance and began their life together in Indianapolis. A few months before moving to Teaneck, on April 8, 2023 Michael got down on one knee and proposed. Today, Michael and Dalia are planning their wedding and could not be more grateful to their family and friends for their endless amount of love and support.
