Do I have to pick either the trip or the brunch?

Answer

Please come to as many or as few events as you can attend. We are not doing the traditional wedding format, so the brunch will not be a traditional wedding reception and will feel more like a birthday dinner than a wedding reception.

Why did we pick Portugal?

Answer

Have you ever been somewhere and just felt like it was part of you? That is how both of us felt the first time that we visited Lisbon. It could have been the delicious food, the stunning weather (even in December which is when we went the first time), the friendly people, the affordable dining out options, the historic pull, or the fact that each neighborhood had a different theme for Christmas; there was just something about this amazing city that pulled us in and made us feel at home. We have been to many places around the world but this felt like a place that we would come back to.

How will the trip to Portugal be booked?

Answer

Each person will book transportation and accommodations on their own (with the exception of the city transport from Lisbon to Porto). Each person will book the optional activities on their own. I will contact each tour vendor to let them know which parties are together. For accommodations, depending on numbers, we may offer to get together to book group options for those that are interested.

Is this a honeymoon trip?

Answer

No, the happy couple will be taking an extended honeymoon in 2027 to travel to Asia. This will likely include Bali, South Korea, Thailand, and Vietnam (possibly Taiwan).
