Question

What is happening due to COVID-19?

Answer

Due to COVID-19, we are now forced to have an intimate ceremony and reception with our families and bridal party on August 1st, 2020. Formal invitations and "uninvitations" are being sent out this week. This isn't the wedding we planned, but we are still so excited to start our marriage on August 1st :) We will miss you and we hope you are staying safe and well. There is still a chance we will have to limit our guest list further for safety precautions, those announcements will be made by July 18th.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

If you have received a formal invitation, please RSVP by June 26th, 2020 but the earlier the better!

Question

When should I book the Hotel by?

Answer

The Saint Croix Falls Holiday Inn Express is the only Hotel that has a hotel block, due to how small our wedding is now, there is no longer any shuttle service to and from the hotel. You can book anytime, but the sooner the better. Check the "Lodging" page for information on the Hotel, our hotel Block code is HMB. However, there are other hotels and cabins in the area you can book or rent!

Question

Can I cancel Lodging?

Answer

Yes, the Saint Croix Falls Holiday Inn Express allows free cancellations up to 24 hours before the start of your reservation. If you booked a VRBO or Airbnb please check their current cancellation policies due to COVID-19.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

We are no longer booking shuttles from the hotel to the land, so please plan a sober driver.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

We will have parking in a cornfield up the street and it is a short walk to the ceremony space. Maps will be included in your formal invitations.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Ceremony will be at 6:00pm, you're welcome at 5:15pm for pre-ceremony cocktails and apps and cornhole! A complete timeline will be included in your formal invitations.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Unfortunately, no, at this point any previously invited children are no longer invited. We are so sad, but we hope you understand, for the safety of the guests who are attending we had to keep it small.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

No, please do not bring anyone who wasn't explicitly listed on your invitation.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Please wear comfortable shoes, first and foremost, the ground is uneven and mainly gravel. Otherwise, sundresses, jumpsuits, khakis and a jacket are perfectly fine! If you're more comfortable in a suit, go for it!

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Please let us know any food restrictions by June 15th. We are still working out COVID-19 safe protocol with our caterer so we don't have a menu set yet.

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

Due to COVID-19 restrictions we had to cancel our "welcome drinks" event at the waterside. We will now only be having our rehearsal dinner and our wedding day celebrations. The wedding day timeline is still getting adjusted and we will include it in your formal invitation.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

We're registered at ZOLA! See the "Registry" page :) Our main gift is to renovate our kitchen in our first house and we'd greatly appreciate any gift you can give to that!
