Dale .

and

Staci .

November 16, 2024

Wood Ridge, NJ

God has a plan

It isn't in our time, but in His.

Dale and Staci's story begins with Dale, suddenly becoming single and staying with a friend. Dale has never been comfortable with the Club scene so at his friend's suggestion, he joined e-Harmony. On February 12th 2008 he received Staci's profile. Dale read about Staci and thought she was VERY cute, and decided she was someone he would like to meet and wrote to her. Staci, who was living with and caring for her ailing mother at the time, had joined e-Harmony a couple of years earlier but didn't meet "The One" and let her subscription to the service lapse. A year or two had passed and then, on February 12th., Staci received an email from e-Harmony, informing her that her profile had received a message. However, Staci had to have an active subscription to the service to read the message. Since the time her subscription had lapsed, Staci had never received a message from anyone, through e-Harmony. With her curiosity piqued, Staci decided to buy a one month subscription so she could read the message and get a look at the sender. Staci thought Dale was cute also. AND... For those of you who either don't know or haven't realized why this story keeps mentioning February 12th; it's because Staci received Dale's message on her Birthday. Dale and Staci followed the structured e-Harmony program of asking and answering questions, gradually being able to speak to each other openly, first by email then by phone. Their first Date was on Saturday, February 23, 2008 and they were married Saturday, November 14th, 2009. Dale and Staci met in their late 30's and often wish that they could have their first twenty years back so they could re-live them together. But God has a plan; doesn't He. God knew that both of them needed to walk their own paths, endure hardships and heartaches, before they would be ready to be the very best person, for each other. For years, Dale and Staci have talked about renewing their marriage vows to God and each other, "someday". As you know, Dale was involved in a motorcycle accident earlier this year. Although Dale was able to walk out of the hospital two days latter, his injuries were so severe that without Staci by his side, he would have had no choice but to have stayed in a re-hab facility while his body healed. God created Eve because He did not want Adam to be alone. God decided that Adam needed a Helper, Genesis 2:18. In Hebrew the word for helper is "Ezer". The Bible applies the word "helper" to the first woman twice. However, it uses the word "helper" 16 more times to describe God. For God is our help, when we are helpless. Dale and Staci are each other's best friends. Dale was at the lowest point in his life when he met Staci and tells everyone that it was God who sent Staci to help guide him out of the valley he was in. With her father having already been called Home, God saw Staci and knew she needed help to provide round the clock care for her in-firmed mother. God knew Dale would help care for Staci's mother's as though she were his own mother. God knew that Staci needed Dale's support when it was time for her mother to join her father in Heaven. But it wasn’t until Dale's motorcycle accident that they both realized that the "someday" they had been planning may never come. Dale went back to work on September 3rd. The same day Staci's school started back up for the year. They were together, day and night for one hundred and thirty eight days. During this time, their marriage has become stronger than it has ever been. They talk more, they laugh more, they know each other so much deeper than they ever thought was possible. So that "someday", is now. They are renewing their promise to God and to each other. They are both very grateful for the Blessings that God has given them. And this Blessing includes You, as part of their story.
