What is the attire?

Answer

In short: Church Casual. The weather in the spring in Virginia can be all four seasons in one day so come prepared! We will be getting hitched and celebrating in one of our fields on the farm so pair your comfortable dress or nice pair of jeans with boots or shoes that can walk through mud, cow poop, grass or some combination of the three. We will have a dance floor for kicking up your heels, but maybe leave the high heels at home.

Are children invited?

Of course! Be aware though, unsupervised children will be given sugar and possibly a lamb to go home with.

Where do we park?

Answer

There will be field parking available. We do not control the weather so it may be muddy or slippery for 2 wheel drive vehicles. Also, please be mindful that we live on property and so do our animals.

Can I bring my dog or pet with?

Answer

We would prefer that your furry companions stay at home. We will have plenty for you to pet while you're on the farm.

FAIR WARNINGS

1. This is our home and working farm. THE FENCES ARE ELECTRIC. Tell your children or inebriated adults this often. These fences are designed to keep cows in and they BITE! 2. We will have dogs running around the reception. Please do not feed them- no matter what they tell you. They will also likely help themselves to unattended food so be aware. 3. There will be fireworks at some point in the night, so come prepared for that. 4. PLEASE throw all your trash in a trash bin. We aren't recycling tonight so it all goes in the bins but we don't want to have to find forks or food in our pastures after this event. 5. The house will be locked so please plan accordingly. 6. The sheep can be fed snacks that are cracker like- NO BREAD NO SWEETS- no matter what they say! 7. We do not recommend going into the barn or pastures with the cows. We are not responsible when a mama cow decides she doesn't want you there.
