5:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Indian traditional or Western dressy casual attire. Wearing green is popular for mehndi, but totally optional!
We'll have delicious food and non-alcoholic drinks, singing and dancing to Indian music, and henna for the women.
2:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Indian traditional or Western semi-formal.
The ceremony will be a blend of Indian and Western traditions. It will begin with the varmala (garland exchange), followed by the traditional phere (seven sacred steps). It will conclude with a Western ceremony with music, readings, vows, and the exchange of rings. We understand that this is a long event! Key parts of the Indian wedding ceremony will be translated to English and vice versa, and you'll get a program that explains the components of the ceremonies. Also, everyone is welcome to get up and walk around and get some snacks and beverages, which we will have available at the venue.
5:00 pm - 10:30 pm
Cocktail hour, followed by dinner, toasts, desserts, and then dancing!
