Lake Willoughby
There are multiple hikes on both sides of the Willoughby Gap with some pretty amazing summer views. We hike here in the summer and winter whenever we're back visiting Dakota's family. If you just want to check out the lake, it's worth the drive out to walk along the little beach or a stop to jump into the lake from the big rock. World-renowned for mountain biking, but also beautiful for a walk or run! You can rent bikes or just enjoy the peaceful woods and fields right from the heart of East Burke. Stop by either East Burke Sports or Village Sports Shop to grab a rental, and grab a snack and a beer at the The Hub Trailside or Juniper's after you're done. Seriously the craziest corn maze ever. So much fun, great for families!
