We attended the same high school for two years at Douglas County High School in Castle Rock, CO. Dakota first noticed Mariah when she would walk a friend to his math class everyday. She was yet to take notice of him until one night at a dance. No one was dancing until Kota went up to the stage in the middle of the room and started brake dancing for all to see. Everyone joined in and fought for space on the stage with him. Mariah was taking a video of the scene and posted it on her story with the caption "Who's man is this?". Little did she know. Soon after that, Mariah left Douglas County High to finish her schooling at Castle View High. Both graduated in different high schools and took different paths for a while. A few years after graduation they reconnected on Snapchat. He asked to hangout, she denied. He was patient and persevered. Finally they agreed to meet up, having their first date be a hike up The Rock in Castle Rock, followed by food at Outback. And thus marked the beginning of their story together.
