Halden and Dakota met through mutual friends. Dakota had just moved to Frederick, Maryland and was invited to go out with one of her girlfriends. It was mentioned that others would join them later in the evening and in walked Halden. Their first meeting was friendly and mildly flirtatious. Dakota had felt a spark telling her she needed to get to know Halden more and she begged her girlfriend for more information on him. Halden had plans to leave the city for work but this opportunity was short lived. Halden stayed in town for work and got word that Dakota had been asking about him. Halden added Dakota on Instagram, Dakota made the first move to start a conversation, they scheduled their first date and the rest was history.
