We met the summer before our junior year of high school at the Abiding Hope Fine Arts Camp. The beginning of our life together started after Faith (Dakota’s sister) informed Anna that her brother had a crush. This gave Anna the courage to ask Dakota on a coffee date. After 2 hours of walking around clement park and a few sun burns, we knew this was something special. 2 years later we both graduated high school and started the hardest journey in our relationship, long distance. Anna completed a biochemistry degree at Arizona State University and Dakota became a firefighter with Arvada Fire Department. After 4 years of long distance, Anna moved back to Colorado and started applying to medical school, while Dakota began working on his health science degree at Arizona State University Online. For our 6 year anniversary, we went to Vail, CO for a relaxing weekend. At the end of a day filled with horse back riding and fondue, Dakota surprised Anna with the proposal at the Betty Ford Alpine Gardens. 2026 is the year we celebrate our love and the life we have built together. We are excited to have you all there with us!
