Dakota and Andrew knew of each other in high school through mutual friends, but did not truly meet until they became lab partners senior year of high school in Environmental Studies. They had two other lab partners who always seemed to skip out when it came to providing actual work. So they became very close by always having to do the lab project themselves.
After High School they attended different colleges in the Philadelphia area but remained close friends through out their studies. The summer of 2012 is when they realized their feelings for each other. After seeing a Coheed and Cambria concert in Atlantic City, Andrew asked Dakota to be his girlfriend.
After about 5-6 years of dating it was time to move into together. Dakota was most nervous as this would be her first time moving out of her parents house. As for Andrew, this would be his second rental but had lived with a roommate before... not a significant other though. Luckily everything went smoothly and from 2018 to 2019 everything was grand in Fishtown..not counting the leak in the kitchen or the time Dakota clogged the bathtub..or flooded the basement. But then 2020 hit and our tiny 2 bed room 1 bath rowhome could no longer sustain the work from home lifestyle. Not to mention the kitchen still leaked/pour onto the oven. That is when they found their second Fishtown rental. This was still a 2 bed 1 bath home, but much bigger and had a lovely back yard where they were able to gain many wonderful experiences together. Then October 2020 is when it happened. Andrew had a crazy idea to finally propose. On Halloween they took a walk on to Ben Franklin Bridge and that is where he got down on one knee and she said yes! After that, they decided to buy a house first before officially tying the knot. Now they reside in a beautiful home in Port Richmond with their two cats Marmalade & Chocolate Chip. Life couldn't be sweeter, but now they get to plan their wedding and throw a banger with all their family and friends. Can't wait to celebrate with you all come October 2023!!!!
