We chose to keep our ceremony intentionally small — just the two of us — so we could begin this chapter in a quiet and meaningful way. Gathering with our friends and family afterward was always part of the plan, which is why celebrating with you now means so much to us.
We completely understand. Many of our friends live outside Oklahoma. This invitation also serves as our way of sharing the news that we’re getting married. Please don’t feel any pressure to travel — knowing you’re cheering us on from afar means just as much.
Not at all. We spent quite a bit of time thinking through how we wanted to begin married life, and this approach felt the most authentic to who we are.
Those who know us well know we never turn down an adventure. We wanted a beginning that felt memorable and outside the ordinary. We will exchange vows and Thai the knot (laughs appreciated) on Railay Beach in Thailand before traveling north through Vietnam — from the Mekong Delta to the highlands of Sapa.
By the time of the Reception Party on May 2nd, we will be officially married. We’re simply saving the celebration for when we can be surrounded by the people we love.
Yes — we’ll have plenty of photos and stories to share at the reception.
More or less — but in a highly organized, spreadsheet-approved way.
