The ceremony will begin promptly at 5:30. Please plan to arrive no later than 5:15 to grab your seat before the ceremony begins. Salvage One is also a vintage furniture store, so you'll be able to browse their collection if you arrive early.
Please RSVP by April 19th. Marilyn does not want to have to hunt you down.
Come dance the night away in cocktail attire! Think suit/blazer (tie optional), knee length/midi/maxi dresses, or jumpsuits! We ask that you try to avoid black dresses and jumpsuits. While most of the event will take place indoors, there is an outside courtyard available (weather permitting) for the cocktail hour. We recommend bringing a jacket, as the temperature tends to drop in the evening!
Your guess is as good as ours! The high is typically in the upper 60s, with lows in the low 50s or upper 40s. However, there are occasional days in the 80s and others in the 40s, and we can never rule out the late spring snow. Best recommendation? Check the weather a week before the wedding, and bring layers!
All invited guests will be listed on your invitation and will appear under your name when you RSVP. Otherwise, our wedding is an intimate event with family and close friends. Thank you for understanding!
There is no parking lot for the venue, but there is free street parking that is normally plentiful in the evening.
While public transit is plentiful in Chicago, Salvage One has limited transit options. We recommend driving/rideshare for convenience, but if you want the full Chicago experience here are the closest transit stops (Google/Apple Maps are very helpful for getting you where you need to go!): Train: Green Line - Damen Stop (15 minute walk to Salvage One from here) Bus: North/South - Damen Bus (50 Line) - Damen & Hubbard stop (<5 minute walk) Bus: East/West - Grand Bus (65 Line) - Grand & Wolcott/Wood stop (<5 minute walk)
