On November 27th, it was a freezing and snowy day. On this day, Bryce and I had made plans to go shopping for a real Christmas tree. Ive never had a real tree & he’s only had real trees. It was a big moment for us both and I was stocked to have my first real tree! It was somewhere near a 45 minute drive and the whole time Bryce was on his phone texting back and forth with someone. I didn’t think much of it, until he asked me to pull over to use the bathroom 20 minutes into our drive. He had just used the bathroom before we left the house so I thought it was strange.. but still had no clue. He had directions on his phone yet we missed our entry twice. Weird, but again did not think much into it. We eventually pull into the tree farm and he’s walking us past all these beautiful trees saying they are not good enough. Until he picks one and goes “go look at that one it’s beautiful”, and points to the tree with some sort of tag on it. I couldn’t tell what it was from afar so as I get closer I realize he had an ornament hanging from the tree saying, “2023 our first year engaged”, and as I turned around and he is on one knee with all of my best friends coming out from behind the trees. It was magical. We all even say the sun came out that day just for us.
