We first met at West-MEC, a trade school we went to shortly after we got out of our high school class. We both joined the CTSO Officer group, but still hadn't talked much. It wasn't until Dajah missed a meeting where we were deciding what FBLA events we would all do for state. I had decided to do 3D Animation with my best friend (who was also in that class with me), who would handle the voice animating. It wasn't until later that day though that I saw Dajah walking, and thought to ask her to join our team so I could talk less during the presentations. I successfully sold her on the concept of "just handle part of the presentation and we'll do the rest", and a short few months later, we got 2nd place in state. After that, we still weren't all that close, we still didn't talk much, but that would all change during the summer. Late June of 2018, we went to San Antonio, Texas, with others who placed in their state competitions. It was first during the opening ceremony that we started to get close, where we played games together, listened to music, and started watching "My Name Is Earl". We continued to hang out a bit more and started texting after this, but our story was far from over. After we returned to Arizona, we continued texting and growing closer, but a first date would have to wait as I had to go to Virginia for 1 or 2 weeks. But when I came back, we set up a date mini golfing & going to the movies. And from there, the rest is history.
