Like so many modern love stories, ours started on Bumble. A few messages and some clever banter later, we decided to meet for brunch because honestly, what better first date than one that involves chilaquiles? True to form, Daisy was early (just kidding — she was late, per usual). Luckily, Freddy didn’t mind waiting outside the restaurant in mid-February weather. We sat down, started talking, and before we knew it, hours had gone by. It felt easy...the kind of conversation where you forget you’re technically still on a first date. Daisy promised the perfect ratio of flirt to roast on her profile and apparently, she’s been keeping that promise ever since. From that first brunch, we’ve been laughing, teasing, and making each other smile through everything life throws our way. Como muchas historias de amor hoy en día, la nuestra empezó en Bumble. Después de unos mensajes, decidimos vernos para brunch porque, sinceramente, ¿qué mejor primera cita que una con chilaquiles? Fiel a su estilo, Daisy llegó temprano (o sea… tarde, como siempre). Por suerte, a Freddy no le importó esperar afuera del restaurante en pleno febrero. Nos sentamos, empezamos a platicar y, sin darnos cuenta, pasaron horas. Todo se sintió súper fácil y natural, que se nos olvidó que técnicamente era nuestra primera cita. En su perfil, Daisy prometía la proporción perfecta entre coqueteo y carrilla — y al parecer, sí ha cumplido con eso. Desde aquel primer brunch no hemos dejado de reírnos, molestarnos con cariño y hacernos sonreir todos los dias.
