A Cole Love Story...

Daijah and Airri started out as close friends and worked closely together in ministry before their relationship blossomed into a real-life love story. Their first date took place on a breezy May afternoon in 2022 in Oak Park, IL. After hours of conversation, Daijah and Airri realized they were perfect for each other, a true match made in heaven. Airri made it official by asking Daijah to be his girlfriend in September of 2022, and they consistently courted until he proposed in October of 2023.

On the evening of what Daijah thought was going to be a "Regular Sweetest Day," she started to suspect that Airri was going to propose because he had been acting strangely the entire week leading up to the day. On the day itself, she began piecing certain clues together. Never in her wildest dreams would she have imagined what Airri really had planned. Just after they left Daijah's house to head to a "Sweetest Day Dinner," Airri instructed Daijah to put on a blindfold for a surprise location before dinner. Upon arrival, as Daijah stepped out of the car blindfolded, she began to hear the first song Airri had sung to her, expressing his love and desire to spend the rest of his life with her during their dating days. Instantly, she realized that her suspicions were indeed coming true before her very eyes, and her heart dropped. Airri removed Daijah's blindfold, and she looked up, teary-eyed, to the most beautiful romantic ambiance, suddenly realizing it was her dream proposal. As they walked down the candle-lit walkway, Airri stopped, lifted Daijah's head, and told her, "I love you, and I've got you forever." Daijah looked up to see all of their immediate family and close friends crowded around, cheering and taking videos and photos, leaving her stunned. Before she could gather herself, Airri was down on one knee! Daijah was shocked, to say the very least. Of course, she replied with an ecstatic, "YES!!!" Their parents jumped for joy at her answer, followed by the rest of their family and friends, all cheering with great relief and joy. Airri and Daijah were then greeted by everyone after taking a few photos. They proceeded to celebrate inside, taking more photos and toasting to their proposal with their loved ones surrounding them at every turn. It was truly one of the most magical days of Daijah's life, feeling like a scene from a '90s romcom movie!
