Jaleel and Daija’s story began in October 2021, with a simple connection that quickly grew into something meaningful. They went on their first date at Kings Bowling Alley in Raleigh. Both a little nervous at first, they soon found comfort in laughter, and easy conversation, sparking a connection that felt natural from the very beginning. What started as one date quickly turned into many, and before long, they became inseparable. With each passing day, their bond deepened, built on love, friendship, and the joy they found in each other. On Valentine’s Day in February 2022, Jaleel asked Daija to be his girlfriend, marking the official start of their journey together. Over the years, their love only grew stronger. Then, on December 28th, 2025, surrounded by family and friends, Jaleel asked Daija to be his wife, and she said yes.
