We definitely are the modern love story: swiped right on each other on Bumble and everything fell into place from there! Well actually... Isabelle didn't reach out to Daichi until 24 hours were up on the timer to connect and Daichi had to get Isabelle's attention by hitting that daily extend button on the app to give Isabelle another 24 hours to see if she'd reach out. Lo and behold she did! And we went on our first date at Tutta Bella right after work one weekday and it's history from there.

Ever heard of rehearsal picnics? Well, Daichi planned one weekly for 4 weeks leading up to the proposal to slowly have Isabelle believe that a picnic did not mean a proposal. The week of the proposal picnic, Daichi acted as though he was putting together a picnic date idea last minute. Kudos to Daichi though: everything from the location to the photographer had been planned out for weeks. On June 30th, 2022, Daichi took Isabelle and Koda to Discovery Park for a sunset picnic. As the sun was setting over Elliott Bay, Daichi went down on one knee and popped the question. After a couple of happy tears and plenty of trembling hands, Isabelle said “Yes” and now we’re #OndaWayDowntheAisle!
