“He who finds a wife finds a good thing, And obtains favor from the Lord”

John and I first met at a church’s event at the Iceskating rink. It was not love at first sight. It took me a couple of months to decide to finally talk to him. On Memorial Day of 2022 we spend hours talking at a barbecue party at Owen and Louis Baser’s house. Since then we’ve been inseparable and that place had become very special to us.

John knew that I always had the dream to go to Montana, we ended up going up there to celebrate my birthday and our anniversary. We had an amazing time up there, hiking and horseback riding. On our anniversary we woke up very early and went on a hike to a very beautiful place called Hidden Lake, we ended up not going all the way has half of the trail was closed due bear attack. He decided to take a different trail that could lead us down to Hidden lake, I didn’t wanna go, I was scared of the bears and glaciers around the mountains, after so much insisting I decided to go, we hiked around the mountain in search for a beautiful sight of Hidden lake and in the middle of the hike we decided to stop to take a picture, for the view was beautiful and breathtaking, how God can make things so beautiful. While adjusting my tripod John stood behind me and said the words that I will never forget… “ Babe? Look at this rock! “ when I turned he was down in one knee holding the most gorgeous rock I’ve seen in my life and said… “ Daiane Batista, will you marry me? “ I froze for a moment but when I came down to earth I said YES I WANNA MARRY YOU! And our little adventure started right there, at the most beautiful place I’ve seen and the love of my life to be my husband, we found Hidden lake after a couple more hours hiking and it was worth it.
