Justin and Stephanie met at UNI orientation while playing volleyball. They became friends for a few years following that and a UW Madison vs UNI basketball game brought them back together as more than friends.

After dating for 4 years, Justin got down on one knee at the spot of their first road trip date together. Down on Lambeau Field before a Packers vs Vikings game on January 1st, 2022 she said YES!
