Flight

Split Airport (also known as Resnik Airport)

In order to arrive to the island of Brac, you must take a ferry from Split, Croatia. As such, Split's international airport, located 24 kilometers away from the city center and ferry port, is the closest option. Unfortunately, there are no direct flights to Split from the United States. On the other hand, from within Europe there are many direct flight options via Easy Jet, Norwegian, British Airways, etc.

Brac Airport

Starting in the summer of 2018, the airport on Brac will start receiving domestic and international flights. The schedule for summer 2018 at present includes flights from the following cities: - Graz, Austria – The charter flight is Gruber Reisen - Brussels, Belgium – TUI Fly - Rotterdam, Netherlands – TUI Fly - Deauville, France – TUI Fly - Luxembourg – Luxair - Innsbruck, Vienna and Linz in Austria to be announced shortly - Bari and Salerno, Italy - The charter flight is Balkan Express More details to come when available.

Getting to Split's Ferry Port

Once you have arrived in Split and are ready to make your way to Brac, you will need to take a ferry from Split's port to Brac. There are a few things to know and consider: -Split's ferry port is located very close to the city center. Arrival to the ferry by foot from within the city center is feasible; on average it is a 10-15 minute walk. Alternatively you can take a cab directly to the port. -Split is a congested city with a majority of the city center closed off from cars. Having a car while visiting Split is not recommended. Be mindful of this if selecting a hotel in Split, as even a cab may not be able to provide door to door service. -If taking a cab directly from Split's airport to the ferry port, give yourself ample time. Typically the car ride takes 30 - 40 minutes.

General Information Concerning the Ferry

Information concerning the ferry: -The end of June begins high tourist season, which means busier ferries. -Tickets for ferries can be purchased online at the link below, at the Jadrolinija office in Split's city center or on the day of at the port's Jadrolinija office. -Tickets are valid for the date specified on the ticket, not a specific departure time. In order to ensure you get on the ferry time you want, be sure to arrive one hour prior. (This is even more true if you are bringing a car on the ferry!) -Ferries have restrooms and typically some sort of bar/cafe serving snacks, coffee and beverages. -The timetable for summer 2018 has not been published yet; more information to come.

Jadrolinija Ferry Options

-When selecting which ferry to take from Split there are three options: Ferry from Split to the town of Supetar (on Brac). This is the only ferry that allows cars on board. Runs 10 - 12 times a day from Split and the trip takes 50 minutes. Supetar is however 45-50 minutes away from the town of Bol. Luckily there are cabs outside Supetar's port driving to Bol and cost approx. 350 - 450 Croatian kunas. Ferry from Split to the town of Bol (on Brac). This is a foot passenger ferry running 2-3 times a day from Split. The trip takes about 1 hour and 10 minutes. Ferry from Split to the town of Milna (on Brac). This is a foot passenger ferry running one time a week on Tuesdays from Split. The trip takes 40 minutes.

Information for Accommodations While On Brac

Depending on your travel plans and the number of days you intend to join us for, we recommend the following: -The night before the wedding (Friday June 29) and the night of the wedding (Saturday, June 30), stay at the Nono Ban Resort. -For the other days prior, stay at one of the many accommodations in Bol. See below for our picks!

Ideal for couples. -Glamping safari tents ranging in size. 150 euro per night for a 6 person tent, 120 euro per night for a four person tent, 100 euro per night for a bell tent accommodating 5 people. Vallum Apartments is a newly constructed complex of modern apartments located in Bol, about a 5 -7 minute walk off Bol's main seaside promenade (or 15 minute walk away from Bol's town). Consisting of 3 buildings with a total of 34 apartments, apartments can accommodate two, four, six or eight people. All apartments are equipped with air conditioning, LCD TV, internet and depending on the apartment, either a balcony or terrace. A 20% discount is extend at the time of booking when you give the name 'Dahlia'. There is a minimum stay of 3 nights. Must pay 30% deposit 25 days before arrival.
