We were introduced by our dear mutual friend Sydney Lewis after church one Sunday in June, and instantly had eyes for each other. A couple months later, Syd exchanged numbers for us, and we started talking every single day. Our first date lasted 8 hours, and two days later we went for a 3-hour drive up the North Shore. We've talked every day since ;) Thanks Syd!

For Dagny's birthday in July 2023, Aaron joined the family on a sailing trip in the Apostle Islands. Dagny took him to her favorite lighthouse, the Raspberry Island Lighthouse, where they shared a kiss and took some photos. Less than a month later, Aaron worked it out with Dagny's family to end up back at the Raspberry Island Lighthouse where he proposed at the very top. Everyone did an incredible job keeping the secret - expect for Fred. Fred, the park ranger, almost spilled the beans, but somehow Dagny remained in the dark! Aaron got down on one knee at the top of her favorite lighthouse, and Dagny burst into tears immediately saying "Right now?? This is happening right now??" before saying yes and smooching Aaron for the rest of the day.
