Mount Rainier National Park
2.5 hrs outside of Tacoma is one of the most beautiful National Parks in the US (we might be biased...). Visit Sunrise or Paradise for some amazing views! The park has implemented a time-entry based system between 7 am - 3 pm, so please reserve a spot through the website linked ahead of time.
Point Defiance Park
A favorite spot to watch wildlife from the beach or hike the many trails. Other attractions within the park include the Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium and Fort Nisqually.
Waterfront Market at Ruston
Browse around the market and enjoy what Tacoma's local vendors have to offer. If you would like to explore more, Dune peninsula is right down the street and you can walk the waterfront or watch the Ferry take off.
Tacoma's Antique Row
Situated between Broadway St - South 9th Street and South 7th Street, here you will be able to shop many antique stores within this block. Afterwards, head to McMenamins Elk Temple Hotel to have lunch at one of their many restaurants. Feel free to wander their seven floors and be on the lookout for a hidden door that will lead you to a secret bar.
