Things To Do

We love Maryland and DC and if we tried to make a list of places we recommend we would take an eternity and you wouldn't have the time to read it. We made a brief list of places that are meaningful to us but we're happy to recommend other places to all that are traveling or simply want to visit a new place :)

Pitchers DC

2317 18th Street Northwest, Washington, DC 20009

This is the queer bar where we met. Music is great, drinks are delicious, people are wonderful. You'll find whatever you're looking for: a good time, a place to chill and have a drink or maybe love forever <3

Hirshhorn Museum

Hirshhorn Museum

7th Street Southwest, Washington, DC 20560

Our first date started here! And look at us now, it was clearly successful. We're sure you'll love this museum as much as we did :)

National Mall

1100 Ohio Dr SW Washington DC 20024, Washington, DC

After looking at the art and talking a little bit about life, we walked to the National Mall to have a mini picnic. This is a secret, between y'all and us: Daf may have hidden a bottle of wine in the inside of her jacket and we may have had a bit of it watching the sunset together and sharing fun facts about life before meeting. We highly encourage having a mini picnic and talking about random stuff you normally wouldn't share.

Wok and Roll

Wok and Roll

604 H Street Northwest, Washington, DC 20001

Some may know this, but Daf really likes walking and will make people walk with her. We walked all the way to Wok and Roll to have some really good Chinese food. Food is pretty simple but tasty. It's a great spot to explore Chinatown and stop for lunch or dinner. It's also super close to the Gallery Place metro station (red, green and yellow lines) which makes it convenient when planning a longer adventure for the day.

Mission Dupont Circle

1606 20th Street Northwest, Washington, DC 20009

Our bellies were full and we weren't ready to say goodbye. Seems like our date was going very well. Lindsay was ok with walking even more to Mission where we had a drink and she had some churros (which were very good!!!). Daf is very picky and really likes the beer at this place AND they just got new glasses for their drinks (fancy!). They also have free refills on chips and salsa. What else do you need to hear to go? This is how the first date of many ended, we made plans before leaving the bar and texted once we took our metros that were going to opposite directions. We've had plenty of dates since but this will always be one of our favorites <3

For all the days along the way
