This is the queer bar where we met. Music is great, drinks are delicious, people are wonderful. You'll find whatever you're looking for: a good time, a place to chill and have a drink or maybe love forever <3
After looking at the art and talking a little bit about life, we walked to the National Mall to have a mini picnic. This is a secret, between y'all and us: Daf may have hidden a bottle of wine in the inside of her jacket and we may have had a bit of it watching the sunset together and sharing fun facts about life before meeting. We highly encourage having a mini picnic and talking about random stuff you normally wouldn't share.
Some may know this, but Daf really likes walking and will make people walk with her. We walked all the way to Wok and Roll to have some really good Chinese food. Food is pretty simple but tasty. It's a great spot to explore Chinatown and stop for lunch or dinner. It's also super close to the Gallery Place metro station (red, green and yellow lines) which makes it convenient when planning a longer adventure for the day.
Our bellies were full and we weren't ready to say goodbye. Seems like our date was going very well. Lindsay was ok with walking even more to Mission where we had a drink and she had some churros (which were very good!!!). Daf is very picky and really likes the beer at this place AND they just got new glasses for their drinks (fancy!). They also have free refills on chips and salsa. What else do you need to hear to go? This is how the first date of many ended, we made plans before leaving the bar and texted once we took our metros that were going to opposite directions. We've had plenty of dates since but this will always be one of our favorites <3
