Her version: Isaiah and I met in high school, like a lot of people do. We talked, laughed, and quickly became friends.. but that’s exactly where I kept him. Just friends. I truly didn’t see what was in front of me at first. Isaiah was kind, patient, and was always there, but I wasn’t ready. Life continued on, we continued taking everyday till he left for bootcamp. Him leaving made me realized I missed our conversations including him making fun of me. Over time, I realized that the person who knew me best, supported me the most and loved me so genuinely had been there all along. Falling in love with Isaiah felt natural like it was always meant to happen. His version: From the moment I met her in high school, I knew there was something special about her. Even when she put me squarely in the friend zone, I stayed because she was worth it. Being her friend meant everything to me, I was just happy to be in her life in any way I could. I never rushed her, never pushed but stayed consistent and true to myself. When she finally saw me the way I had always seen her, it felt like everything had come full circle. What started as a high school friendship grew into a love built on patience, trust, and a strong foundation. Our journey wasn’t fast, but it was meaningful and it led us exactly where we were supposed to be. From friends to best friends to forever, we’re excited to start this next chapter together and celebrate it with the people we love the most.
