Things To Do

There are a million great things to see and do in DC! Here are just a few favorites.

National Portrait Gallery

8th Street Northwest, Washington, DC 20001
, (202) 633-8300

The National Portrait Gallery, which also houses the American Art Museum, is just one block east of our wedding venue. It's open daily 11:30am to 7pm and has free admission.

National Museum of African American History and Culture

1400 Constitution Avenue Northwest, Washington, DC 20560
, (844) 750-3012

This new museum is incredibly well-done, and there's a lot to see. It's open 10am to 5:30pm, but you will have to secure free entry passes in advance through its website.

National Gallery of Art

6th & Constitution Ave NW, Washington, DC 20565
, (202) 737-4215

The East Wing (modern art) was recently renovated, and the Sculpture Garden makes a great picnic spot. It's open 10am to 5pm and has free admission.

Lincoln Memorial

2 Lincoln Circle NW, Washington, DC 20037
, (202) 426-6841

From the Lincoln Memorial, the memorials for MLK, Vietnam War, Korean War, and WWII are a close walk. The Jefferson Memorial is a farther walk around the Tidal Basin.
