Things To Do

For those guests who are planning to arrive early or extend their trip, Milwaukee has plenty to offer! Located on the shores of Lake Michigan, Milwaukee is perhaps best known for its famous breweries, but there's more to the city than beer. Milwaukee is rich in historical and cultural attractions, making it the perfect place for time spent exploring.

Take a Brewery Tour

Milwaukee is the city that beer built, and now you can see how Milwaukee builds its beer. From macro to micro, fruit beers to gourmet sodas, take an individual brewery tour or hop on a beer tour bus for a guided expedition through multiple breweries to see how Brew City is still earning its name! Explore the River Walk

The Milwaukee RiverWalk winds through the heart of the city, tying together three distinct riverfront neighborhoods — the Historic Third Ward, Downtown, and Beerline B. It brings you to the doorstep of some of the city’s best restaurants, brewpubs, shops, and nightlife. Whether you want to walk, kayak, or boat, the choice is yours. Discover the Historic Third Ward

Trendy shops and dining abound in this revitalized warehouse district. Block after block of formerly industrial space is now home to galleries, restaurants, and boutiques. The neighborhood is anchored on the north end by the Milwaukee Public Market and by the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design to the south.

Catch a Baseball Game

For those interested in cheering on the Milwaukee Brewers at American Family Field, they will be playing in town the weekend of our wedding. The unique fan-shaped retractable roof means it’s always a perfect day for baseball. American Family Field is very accessible (~10-20 minutes from downtown). Recommended game times: Friday 6/16 - 7:10pm Sunday 6/18 - 1:10pm Monday 6/19 - 7:10pm Lots of local bars offer free shuttles to American Family Field for Brewers games. Stop in for a meal or a drink, then let the party continue on the bus on your way to the stadium.
