If you ask Devon and Courtney how they met, you will most likely get two different versions of the story. Courtney says: It was a spring day in Gainesville and after a day at work at FreeRide Surf Shop with my friend Rachel, we decided to grab a bite to eat before heading home. As soon as Rachel left the table to go get something, I was stuffing my face, when a cute boy walked up to me. He introduced himself and instantly told me how beautiful I was. While blushing, and trying to swallow the huge bite of food I had just taken, I was a little thrown off by this very forward interaction. But because he was also blushing just as much, if not more than I was, and the sweetness I could see in his eyes told me something was different about this one... Devon's version: After swim practice a couple of my fellow swimmers and I rushed to get a snack at Pita Pit before dinner. The guys and I were finishing up our meal when Courtney and Rachel walked in. I was facing the door and as cliche as it may sound, when Courtney walked through that door the room instantly got brighter. The rest of the meal all I could think and talk about was how I thought that beautiful blonde girl looked like she was the sweetest girl in the world, the kind of girl that would never hurt someone. Ever since that day in 2011 it has been D&C. After they both graduated from UF they moved to Daytona Beach, Devon's hometown, so Courtney could go to Nursing school. Once she finished school, they both started their careers together in Melbourne, Fl where they currently live and work. There have been many great adventures in the past 8 years, as well as many set backs and hardships. With each challenge they have only grown stronger as a partnership. The start of the next chapter in their lives together will be here before we know it, and they cannot wait to celebrate their marriage with all of you!
