On June 30th, 2016 after returning from a dear friend’s bridal party wedding photos, Danielle was alone in the bridal suite when she discovered a bumble bee stuck in the lace of her bridesmaid’s gown. Panicked and screeching for help, she saw a groomsman walking past the doorway. He heard her and came to her rescue (my hero!) by removing and stepping on the bee. Danielle later inquired about this mystery bee savior from the bride and discovered his name was of course… Yosef Khaloo. Over the next four and a half years, Yosef and Danielle kept in touch either at events of mutual friends or by inquiring about Yosef’s beloved husky, GQ. Finally, in March of 2020 (after many years of respectfully declining Yosef’s date proposals), Danielle mustered up the courage to ask Yosef on a date herself, and on March 12th, 2020 they went to Comedy Cellar in the West Village for their first date. Two days later, Manhattan was overturned by the pandemic, and what would appear as inopportune timing for a first date, actually became the biggest blessing in their lives. With the world upside down and so many aspects of life coming to a screeching halt, Yosef & Danielle found themselves with endless time to learn about each other. They spent most weekends hiking or picnicking in Central Park with GQ (Danielle’s actual favorite Khaloo). They built a strong friendship and ultimately a love formed from organic time spent together without all the distractions of being 2 single young adults in Manhattan. It only took the whole world slowing down for these two to find each other and begin a journey of friendship, spirituality and love. On June 30th, 2022, exactly six years since they met at a wedding Yosef & Danielle will walk down the aisle at their own wedding and begin their lives as husband and wife.
