Our mutual friends, Chris and Hannah Zannetti, are the reason we even met in the first place! They went to the University of Dayton and quickly befriended Jordan during our Freshman year. Early on that year, they would all become close and Cassidy would eventually meet Jordan for the first time in 2018 during Sophomore year and become acquaintances. Our lives continued on at separate colleges, only seeing each other again one other time in Dayton during Senior year. It wouldn't be until 3 years after college in August of 2023 that we would be reunited at Chris' graduation party that summer. Cassidy's mom planted the seed in Chris' head to bring up the idea of Cassidy to Jordan (shes a great wing woman). In her words "He seems like a smart, handsome young man that has a good job, why not see if he's interested!". A month later during a trip to visit Chris and Helen in Pittsburgh, we would eventually see each other again at Jordan's housewarming party. Jordan's friends, Kaitlyn and Kailey met Cassidy and heckled him the whole party about how we would make a great couple, even though there was a 2 hour drive in between us. Turns out they had good intuition. We had so much fun spending time together at the party that we began texting and talking everyday. From this point on, we would take turns planning trips to see each other in Pennsylvania and Ohio every month. We officially started dating in December of 2023 and made it work long distance for another 6 months. In July of 2024 Cassidy would move to Pittsburgh and live with Jordan in that same house that she visited for the housewarming party the previous summer. Now we spend our days making our house a home, going to Penguins hockey games, exploring more of the city, and spending time with friends and family in both Pennsylvania and Ohio. You never know which people in your life will make their way back when you least expect them to. We are so excited to embark on this next chapter in our lives as husband and wife!
